I booked a standard room at this wonderful hotel, and it was huge and very well-appointed. Although I was traveling alone, the dual vanities would be much appreciated by most couples. The hotel is really a boutique hotel, as there are rooms only on 3 floors. The top floor has a small swimming pool and a bar. The sun beds at the pool were always in use during the two sunny days I was there. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walk out the front door, turn right and within 25 meters you are in Old Town. I walked constantly for two days, and everything was within an easy walk of the hotel, the Cathedral, the museums, and all of the many restaurants and shops in Old Town. The port area is only a 10 minute walk away, on the other side of Old Town. There is a new, much smaller version of Paris' Pompidou Museum located in the port. The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful. I arrived early and they kept my bags while I went to the Cathedral and Picasso Museum. When I returned, the bags were promptly delivered to my room. There is a taxi stand less than 5 meters from the front entrance, so if you do need a taxi somewhere, one will always be available. The fare from and to the airport was less than 20 Euros. Best of all was the price. Had I booked one day earlier, it would have been under 170 Euros per night. Because I was not certain I would be staying in Malaga until two nights before my arrival, the room price was around 210 Euros per night. That certainly is not cheap, but it is a bargain compared to most European hotels of comparable quality. I am sure the room rates vary depending on the season, but at anywhere near the price I paid, it still would be a great deal. Most highly recommended!
